Played around with it today. It needed a Coil but she's running pretty good save for the loose belts.. Gonna work on the brakes tomorrow. It is for sale.\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDLGZkNOaCY\n\nI really hope someone buys it and restores it.

Re: My Dad's 1970 220
tried to get brakes operational. Upon bleeding them found both brake lines on rear axle to be bad/rotted/leaking. Made two new ones and got some pressure back but suspect a bad wheel cyl on R/S/R. Looks like fluid coming out of drum. Wanna make this thing drivable so some it more likely to buy it. May bring it to the Stafford Swap in April.\nMy 7rd old did a great job as my pedal man... \nTightened the Alt belt so squeal is gone. It runs really good. Was thumbing through the factory manuals for it seeing notes my father made....It hurts to sell it. I only hope it will go to a good home.

The 220 doesn't look too bad. Sounds like you're making some good progress on the brakes.\nGreat to have a good pedal man to help out. Now he's starting his own Travco memories.

Too bad you we weren't close to one another. Is it a matter of getting it out of your yard or just no time to mess with it any more?\n\nOut of curiosity, do you know what the curb weight is on it?

Both. I think it weighs around 8,000 maybe less.

Re: My Dad's 1970 220
Weighs less than I was thinking. I had read that back in the day, many people discovered they weighed a bit more than advertised.\n\nOn the 220's, I am guessing they added a foot after the axle as compared to the 210.\n\nI also notice your wheels look like 8 lugs. Was it converted or was it like that from the factory?

Re: My Dad's 1970 220
The 220's are a 1 ton Dodge truck chassis. factory 8 lugs which is nice because the parts are much easier to get.\nBTW I sold this Travco this afternoon.
