Rear brake cylinders... 1975 270

I saved a 1975 270 Mahal VIP from a field a few miles out of town last weekend. Friend had been storing it for 4 years and just wanted it GONE. Anywho, pretty much everything has been replaced or updated the past 10 years by his dad. All tires, suspension, brakes, dual A/Cs, new fridge, water heater and more. All upholstery and updated electrical too. About 60K miles on the clock. I got a heck of a deal I hope. \n\nAnyways, he admitted that they only replaced 3 rear wheel cylinders and honed the bottom right one. Wellp... Now it leaks of course. \n\nWhat are the chances I have 1 3/8 cylinders? They seem to be the most common. I was going to order one and would like to get a jump on it.\n\nOr should I just wait till tomorrow to order once I get the old one off?\n\nPic of said beast sitting in the field. It has since gotten a scrubbing with bleach and soap. Still have some stubborn black stains from all the years..\n\nImage

OK.. Rear upper cylinder is off. Man... There is NO room between the spring and the bolts/line/bleeder.\n\nOne side was rusted solid and the other was leaking. Very pitted. Off to the local heavy truck parts place tomorrow. Hope they have one in stock.\n\nPics later!

Nice looking 270! \nI had to replace the lines between the cylinders a well as I destroyed them when doing my rear brakes. It's definitely a job!

Ya. Previous owner replaced all the lines and boosters a few years ago. Was able to unscrew everything with a bit of swearing. \n\nPics of the project so far...\n\nComeon.. There is NO WAY the drum needs to be that heavy.. It's gonna be an adventure reinstalling it and not horseing up the seal..\n\nImage\n\n\nWhere the project is at now. I was able to free up the upper brake adjuster. Havent worked on the bottom one yet. Will coat all moving parts with copper antiseize. The axle is supported with solid 10x10 oak blocks. The 12 ton jack that I found sucks. New one tonight.\n\nImage\n\n\nThe offending cylinder. Heading to the local big truck brake shop at lunch. HOPE it's in stock. I probably installed and removed each side 10 times by hand when I was adjusting the shoes. Very heavy drums!

Please post the P/N's of the wheel cylinders you use.\nAre both Adjuster wheels RH thread or is one RH and the other LH?\n\nI post this type of information on my web pages 1973-75 Dodge Class A M500/RM400 (Hydro-Vac) Motorhome Brakes

Part number I used was UP37279 at NAPA in town. Both adjusters are regular RH fine threads. I pulled the 1 3/8 wheel cylinder part numbers from your website. :) Napa had them the next day. $19.00 each.
