And while I was painting the hitch, might as well paint the spare tire mount. And as long as I am jumping down the rabbit hole... might as well paint the back of the bumper. Put on some naval jelly and painted some chrome enamel over that. The back of the bumper almost looks better than the outside. lol.

As long as I had the silver paint and the naval jelly out. I painted the propane tank.

When I took this one a couple weeks ago, it was my favorite. Just after completing the rear axle swap. The only way to tell is the 6 lug pattern. We went camping about 30 mins after I got it in on friday night. What a difference, night and day!!! The brakes worked so awesome and the ride was 1 million percent better!! So far I am very impressed with the upgrade. I have learned a lot but, I don't plan on doing another one, so if you need any tips let me know. The wheel is centered on the opening, I couldn't get straight on because of the basketball hoop.

nice job! biiiigggg job for a driveway..lol. definitely looking to do the same as our '69 270 is on factory suspension, single system brakes and front drums...did you find any other options to the 2012 Isuzu NPR HD?

The Isuzu is a nice platform. With that said, there are a few things to do differently. Look for one with a diesel. They seem to have a better gear ratio. I ended up buying a new ring and pinion from Isuzu, to the tune of $800 but, I got the ratio I wanted. The other thing, I would check out the other platforms, FTR, etc, first, just to see if any of them had a longer rear spring... Just things I would look at if I were to do it again. But, so far, LOVE the braking and the fuel economy. And I don't have the front end done yet. We went camping last weekend and it got 9.4 mpg at 60 mph. I wanted to ask people what is everyone running there rear tires at? I lowered mine down to 75psi, since we done have any water on board or a gen set.

having just bought ours and road tripped it from Winnipeg to Southern Ontario, we have left the P.O.'s setup. For some reason, he has 75 psi on the inner rear wheels and 70 psi on the outers....not sure why. We have a Kohler genset and had 1/2 tank of water for boon-docking and the interior screws still managed to shake themselves loose...lol.

DASH WIRES.jpg
The radio quit working in the coach a couple months ago and I haven't had time to check it out, kinda low priority. So, Sunday when we got home from camping my wife said she was gonna take a nap, I decided to check out the radio. After a few minutes I found that the fuse was blown on the back of the radio, easy fix. As long as I was under the dash(me jumping head first down the rabbit hole!!) I saw a couple wires that didn't go anywhere. I figured I would trace them down. 4 hours later and this mess taken out, I am not quite done... But it's close now! And much cleaner. I am surprised it didn't start a fire, a lot of melted wires. None of the factory wiring was melted. It was all the added on stuff....

hi there, just want to comment on your mpg. I have a '70 mahal, 413, drums all around. when I first replaced the exhaust years ago I installed full duel 2 1/4 pipes front to back with "quite" mufflers, not low restriction. not only did it seem to have picked up gobs more power (old single exhaust restricted ?) but I get a solid 10 mpg if I can keep it under or at 60 mph. it seems to want to run at about 65 mph always but at that speed I'm pushing around 3 grand on the tach.
