That looks like a Sanden conversion also.\nThis is what it should have...

Re: My 1975 Travco 270
My apologies... I got busy when I got home Friday and totally forgot about this.\n\n I thought that it looked bigger, but when I measure from edge to edge across the A/C pulley, I get 5 1/4".

Re: My 1975 Travco 270
My 270 has only one a/c which has done just fine all summer. It had a Fan-tastic RV fan in the back that can reverse and has many speeds as well as power up and down. I forgot to put it down and backed in garage with it. crunch.\nNow should I buy another one or just put a second a/c unit ? I kinda liked the fan as it was close to the kitchen for additional exhaust but a new one is 230$...(ouch). I could buy a used a/c for that.

Re: My 1975 Travco 270
My 270 only has one A/C unit and it cools the whole coach just fine. We just have a ceiling vent with no fan in rear, which we like. A second A/C could be nice to have if the other one ever acts up while on a trip. On the other hand... a new vent fan would serve it's own purpose. Which is easier to install?.. flip a coin?

I don't think I ever posted any pics of the interior finished. The woodwork came out pretty good for a 75$ kit form Home Depot.

Nice pics... Lets me know what I would be looking at if I decde that the floor softness isnt due to the carpeting.\nFWIW...They sell a "couple" of plastic welding kits at Harbor Freaight and are fairly priced. (I have 2 different brands) \nBrain storm... couldnt one buy ANY black water tank, that has the right drain conformationthe, and could be smaller and cheaper, maybe used... and "just" cut out the elbow/drain area and screw it and/or weld the piece back onto the damaged tank. Using the extra plastic for filler or other spot/hole repairs if there are other spots of damage in your unit. Would eliminate the buying and possible hight cost of a sspecific brand/custom fitted tank? There are RV places that sell used/clean tanks etc. FWIW/IMO\nBBB

Re: My 1975 Travco 270
The fuel pump looks identical to the bendix or autopulse style/brand I put on my 1950 Merc many years ago when the cam lobe wore down and would no longer work the pump and the flat washer under the pump arm trick would no longer work...The onan pump has a steel pin/plunger that moves up n down and with some good channel locks turn the top or bottom to removed the ends and change/clean the plunger.. Had a Intruder w/a bad electric fuel pump. At a auto parts store they have two different small square looking fuel pumps... Yes they do work well..One is a low pressure, (about 1 1/2 or 2 pounds) what I used on a 750 Suzi Motor Cycle and a "higher" out put for use on one of my Maverics (3 1/2 to 5 pounds) I think...The cost I believe is/was $29.00 and I still have 2 different sizes lying about. One has a red label and the other is blue... Plus a motorized HO drag racing fuel pump... Just rememered I also used the HO cheapy to run my 76 with a diesel fuel cartridge fuel filter...The fuel regulator is a nice touch to adjust the flow of pressure against a "weak" float needle.. Will go to the garage and get the pics of the "budget/cheap" pumps when It stops snowing this turkey day. Hope i aint rambling too much.... Happy Turkey Day everyone from my 2 Golds and me...\nBBB

\nYeah you could, but the plastimend was way easier. Retro fitting a tank looks like a major PIA.\nThe stuff held up real good. 2 years and counting, not a drip. Even looks good.badbillybiker wrote:Nice pics...
