well I changed the leaking valve cover gaskets. They were beyond shot. I gotta say I am not in love with the Felpro ones I got form NAPA. I am not sure what they are made of but it's not Cork or rubber and very stiff. I question if it will conform especially since the heads are not machined surfaces, just the rough casting.

So I worked on the plumbing. The copper was blown out in a few places. It's still to frickin cold here to put water in it so I pressurized the system with about 40 psi of air. The factory copper is an oddball size and near impossible to reflare as parts nor a 9/16 flaring tool are available anymore. I adapted to Pex and ran pex to replaced the damaged pipes. The pics show alot of Ball Valves...I overdo it with the ballvalves so that if a problem arises camping I can isolate it until repairs can be made.\nPex really is the way to go.

I had a bunch of paperwork come with my coach but no luck for any wiring diagrams.\nI just picked up a set of cork "Mr gasket" brand valve cover gaskets for $11 at the parts store. I had to order mine... seems that 440's aren't as common as they used to be.\nI am also going to have to do some plumbing work as well... I have a major leak coming out of the bottom of my water heater.\nGlad to see that you are still at it. I have been trying to do at least one thing to my Travco everyday... even if it's just something minor.

So I call Progressive Dynamics. I spoke to a guy there about 2-3 yrs ago who knew his stuff. well...he must not be there anymore. spoke to a woman first then some other guy and they didn't squat about the product they sell and were no help on the older unit. How can you be tech support and not know how the damn thing works ??\n :?

Well I got the passenger side brakes done finally. The main issue with no rear brakes was the master. The piston for the rear brakes was stuck in the bore. Then once I got fluid flowing to the back the pass side was barely dribbling out of the bleeder. Disassembly revealed that the upper cyl was rusted solid. The lower one looks to have been replaced and was clean but leaking. Might rebuild that one for a spare. BTW both upper and lower were the same and NAPA part UP37279. Also NAPA can get the hardware kit. It is under Med/HD Dodge Truck M500. 15x4 brake setup. About 38$ per side. I could not believe how cheap the wheel cyls were. So I got the whole thing bled. The only thing I'm fuzzy on is adjusting them. I think I have them evenly adjusted. I had to replace the line on the axle and the line from upper and lower cyl. I make my own lines . I have an ISO double flaring tool. Also my 3/4 impact gun came in handy. \nThe master must have been changed before and the guy who did it was awesome.Anti seized everything. Came right apart.\nMy poor 7 yr old. His leg got a work out. \nAfter I got it all back together I jacked up the other side. The brakes on the rear drivers side are not grabbing real well so I ordered 2 more wheel cyls for next weekend.\nThe sockets required are:\nFor lugnuts a combo square +1 1/2. This can be found at any heavy truck parts place. It is very commonly used on Class 8 Trucks.\nThe wheel nuts are 2 7/8 8 point. I had to get by with a 3 in 8 pt because that was what I had but the right one is on order.

So with the rest of my brake parts on order I replaced both my roof vent caps for the plumbing.\nI sealed everything with dicor.\nThen I cut a hole in the side for a new City water inlet.

Well after that I moved into the bathroom. The wall against the window was shot.Water damage. I decided to use some fiberglass paneling I had bought to use on the roof in the other Travco. Stuff is water proof and somewhat mathes the existing wallpaper.

I had to replace those same brake lines on mine as well as my passenger side valve cover gasket. I was also surprised how cheap the wheel cylinders were. I may have to go back and re-adjust the left side but not sure yet. I am taking it on a trip soon to a motorcycle rally so I will see what other bugs may turn up.
