Well I was looking at the holding tank. It looks pretty messed up. All busted up around the discharge and someone did a real half ass attempt at putting fiberglass or something over abs which needless to say didn't work.\nIt has more leaks than the titanic and the repair is flaking off. I have a similar holding tank on the 74 parts unit bit it has slight damage also there. \nI am going to try to rebuild the damaged area next week with this product.\nhttp://www.plasti-mend.com/\nThe reviews on Amazon were very good and I talked to the guy there for a bit. As long as the tank is not polypropelen(like the fresh water tank) it should be repairable.\nWill post results. The worst part will be cleanin the mess off that is on it. How much are new holding tanks?

Couple hundred bucks but the work involved in retrofit is where it gets costly with time and effort.

I see. Having no experience with these holding tanks I can't say for sure, but in the past I have mended plastic tanks with ABS plastic. Using a heat gun and welding gloves I heat a piece of ABS and slap it over the repair point and rub it down. After it cools I pull it off and use MEK sparingly and press it back on. I've used it on plumbing with good effect. Not sure if it helps in these situations, but it is handy for compound curves and holds water.

So I ripped out the carpet in the cockpit. The Passenger side floor was rotted both wood and metal underneath.This was a setback. I got up early Sunday. I was on it at 7:30am. Luckily there was enough steel in the sheet I bought for the Gen box for this too. it was a bit heavier than original but will work fine. I also used Marine Grade Plywood. Got it cut out and replaced in 5 hrs flat. Just ran out of Argon as I laid the last stitch.

The heater hoses were original. I had to very carefully remove them. They were stuck on good and hard as a rock.

I bet they were hard as a rock. That and vacuum hoses always seem neglected.

Dang, that looks like alot of work!
