Wiper Motor

Any idea where I can get a driver side wiper motor for a 1974 Travco? It's a Prestolite, Part # PME4001C. Thanks!

You can try Foretravel but honestly you will probably have to retrofit one from a boat or maybe a Mak Truck/Military Truck electric conversion . Could try some junkyards. If your in a jam and it's the driver's side one, you can switch it with the passenger side one I am pretty sure. Be careful removing the nut that holds the wiper arm. They tend to break. I would soak it good with PB blaster.

I am pretty sure mine are toast as well. I still have some ground diagnostics to do and make sure I am getting power to the motor but pretty sure they are toast. do these things just crap out/fail and you replace them\n\nRob?

Actually out of all the Travcos I have owned I have never had a motor go bad. Usually the wiper transmission breaks.

I should hear the motor turning though even if the linkage may be broken right? \n\nRegarding broken linkage/transmission: is that something you can fab/fix yourself?

Make sure the motor has a good ground as well. Jumper 12 volts to it and you should hear the motor run.
