Rear Shocks, 1969 270?

Unread post by ptedrick » Sat May 04, 2019 7:23 pm

Hi,

A mechanic friend and I are in need of new rear shocks for my 1969 270. We have obtained front shocks but so far have not been able to locate rear shocks. The interior is pretty decent and the body should spruce up nicely with some fresh paint. We have succeeded in replacing the entire brake system but still need to replace the rear shocks to get it off the jack stands for a road test. Can anybody provide a valid part number, brand, or source? Thanks

The Dodge parts book I have gives 2 numbers depending on the shock diameter.
1" diameter on an M3, M4 for 1969 are part 2421 320
1-3/8ths" diameter on m3, m4 for 1969 part 2084 588

On a different day, a second visit to O'Reilly north of Ocala, Florida a different person was able to determine what was needed. They actually had the right shocks in stock. My 69 Travco is now running, driving, and stopping. I still have to clean the gas tank and a new paint job is in the works. Thanks for the helpful responses to my request for help.
