Selling Aunt Fanny

Unread post by jeeprobb » Mon Apr 13, 2020 7:41 am

Hi all, well the time has come to sell our 1973 Travco 270 we affectionately call "Aunt Fanny" (stolen from the movie Robots). I thought I would try to get some opinions as to what she might be worth before listing her for sale. A stated it is a 1973 270 that is in nice condition with good rubber and all systems working. The chassis has about 77,000 miles on it but I have changed the drive train over to a Cummins 5.9 12 valve and an old school Allison Transmission. The unit has served us well and has done many weekend trips as well as a 6500 mile trip cross country and back in 2016. I would appreciate any feedback you are willing to give as to the value, it is kind of hard to figure out with the drive train swap. We are only selling her as my wife and I are planning on going full time in an RV this fall if all goes as planned, and we would like to have something a little more modern and larger. Thanks for your time. Robb

My name is Daniel Ross, about your question, I do not know the real value of your travco, several aspects are to be evaluated and I would not want to mislead you. It is probably between $ 5,000 and $ 10,000, It is better to consult. But please, when you have an evaluation tell me, I'm really interested in buying it. Thank you for considering and good look.

Hi Jim, Thanks for your interest in Fanny. We just took current photos and are hoping to get those and a couple of videos done and make a for sale listing today or tomorrow. Until then here is a link to a Youtube video we shot about a year ago for one of my nephews Youtube channels. Thanks Robb
