On my 76 Mahal, fresh water tank was located under street side bed next to hot water tank... This unit has the rear table/pedastal etc. Right compartment is hot water tank & inverter. Lifted center section and nothing. curb side compartment space is for genset. This has the outside center rear water intake. How, with out tearing the (x5%%E#) \nthing apart, can I get to access it. Needing capacity dims, new fittings etc. Dont trust it until I air & water test it and actually see/view and remedy whatever is with it.. progress is irratatingly slooooow. But I now...so far.... have brakes!\nBBB

Billy\nNessie has it under the raised center in the rear. The Board that dinette mount bolts to is screwed down and can be removed easily for water tank access. The front board that covers the front of the raised section can be removed the same way. Just some screws. I have not had to pull my tank but IIRC it should be able to come right out through the openings.

TNX... As it has thick, 3/4 or thicker carpeting...I wasn't sure of where to start.. \nMy choice of fast tools is usually a mini-chain saw which with your directions I will not now need ...\n(darn it) Will mod the water intake as in other rvs for my obvious protection \nBBB.

Tnx. After inspection, glad I was able to see the water fill port was filthy and aged to the point of non-usefulness. So brittle, any attempt at trying to open it resulted in pieces breaking off. In the center of the RV rear, it goes like this.: \nDims are 36 x 24 x 7 or 8 inches tall. Couldn't get close enough for the height. Using an aquarium capacity program, it comes out to 29.9 or 30 gallons. One gallon per person per day seems to be do-able. One person and two dogs??? Good for ten days without showering...And the weight when filled could be 225 pounds of weight. Just thought some one would like to know this...1974 270 Elite w/rear dinette. Maybe carry some baby wipes? Dirty pictures anyone????\nBBB
