is this the manifold I need?

Unread postby Zed on Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:22 am

Haven't driven the RV since last summer on its maiden trip. It performed well then except the MPG was terrible at around 4.5 to 5 for the trip. I am planning on driving the RV from NC to CO where I plan to live in it while I build a earthship type house in S Colorado. Anyways I want to do some tuning before then to try to get the MPG up to at least 7. I have a carb I never used from Allstate carbs i figure that could help since I told the guy what it was for. Anyways I never used it because I foolishly bought a spreadbore when I have a stock squarebore intake. Is this the intake I should get? I need a heat riser to mitigate vapor lock issues correct?

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

EDIT: currently running a edelbrock preformer carb, stock intake and everything else.

Maybe I should just get a adapter, its a lot cheaper. Anyone done this?
