Installing a diesel ??
Has anyone tried a diesel swap in a late sixties early seventies Travco ?? I like the look but would to install Cummins or Duramax with Allison transmission. \n\nThanks\nBobH

There have been a few done. Mostly Cummins. Matz has a thread on here about the swap. If you use the search function on the top right of the page you should be able to find some of the conversions.

Cummins and diesel come up as too common in the search. I saw that also. I wish it would work but new keywords may be needed.

I read a story on the internet a few years back about a Travco 270 with a Perkins diesel swap. The guy that did it drove it all up and down the west coast and Baja, Mexico with his family back in the early 1970's. One of his grown children recalled that it wasn't fast but they never stopped for fuel so they would always pass the cars at the gas stations that had passed them out on the road.\n\nThere is a 210 running around my town with a Cummins swap... it's quite a hot rod.
