1972 270 hydroboost conversion

Unread postby dirtydeno on Mon Mar 12, 2018 8:45 am

I instlled a hydroboost on the 270 yesterday. I used a hydro boost off of an 06 E450. I mounted the booster as low as i could on the original bracket so the resorvoir would clear the floor.

I had to add add some metal to the brake arm to move the plunger hole to a spot where it would get a full stroke and the lever throw was not to long. It took a few holes to get it right.

The entire bracket then just bolts back up. I drilled a hole in the floor for adding brake fluid and cut the carpet in a flap so it is hidden. I then removed all of the hydro vac system. I just need to have 2 power steering lines built and connect my lines. I also need to install a proportioning valve.
