19.5's on a 66
Hey all, looking for some advice on an axle swap. I'm thinking about picking up an Isuzu NPR for the axles, engine and trans swap in a 66. Since the '66 has low fenders, I'm wondering if anyone has tried putting 19.5's on one of these. I realize the width of the axle has a lot to do with this, but I thought I'd check here for advice before diving into this.

...or I suppose I could buy this;\n\nhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-TRAVCO-DODGE-CHAS ... r\n\nLooks like someone already put a newer set of axles under what is left of this Travco. Kind of sad really.

Those are original axles under that Travco. The 220 was on the M300 chassis which had the 8 lug Wheels

wow, 8 lugs were stock? That's very cool. Almost worth picking this up.

Those axles are not rated for the heavier 270. IIRC the 220 had a 3500lb front axle as compared to the 4000lb front axle of the 270. The rear axle is most likely a Dana 70 which was rated somewhere around 7500lbs as compared to the Dana 70HD which is rated for 10,000lbs.
