Re: Steering Gear Box
Why do you say it's shot ? Most of these have low mileage on them and generally just need a seal kit.

Re: Steering Gear Box
Just need to get rid of one more headache...finally got mine back today. Was driven to my storage area and driven along a twisty and winding road... Steering was going from point to point in a wide arc. On a interstate the wander was very minimal... has over 80k.. presume the sector gear and adjusting screw is worn. Would just as soon rebuild or replace.. and get rid of one more problem.\nBTW...it is not leaking, indicating a seal problem..\n\nBBB

Re: Steering Gear Box
First make sure the steering wheel shaft to steering box coupler is not wore out. If it is, post back, as I know how to solve it.\n\nDodge P/N 3497240 (Saginaw Model 708)\nPower Steering Specialist (PSS)\nPSS PDF Catalog\nDodge 3497240 cross-ref to PSS P/N 44-2011 (pdf page 77) You will need to call them as while they cross-ref the Dodge P/N they do not show it in their catalog\n\nRedhead Steering Gears Would have to contact them
