Instrument Cluster

Unread post by RobC » Thu Apr 10, 2014 11:30 am

Operation new instrument cluster is under way. The old panel had a printed circuit board with 12 volts coming in at one spot then distributed to lamps and gauges from there(via voltage regulator).\n\nMy new gauges are hard wired to their respective sensors but I can't find on the schematic the location or source of the 12 volt power supply to the gauge panel. Does anyone know if it comes off the chassis fuse block or straight from the ignition/steering column?\n\nAlso, Where are the horns/horn physically located?\n\nI have been fixing/replacing corroded grounds for the last couple weeks and I am getting ready to reinstall the panel but since it is out I can actually get to all the wiring WAY easier, I figured I can diagnose everything, heater, stereo, fan while it is currently removed.\n\nRobC

My hornes are located below the rad & I moved the horn relay into the dash compartment (was outside with horns)

I believe keyed power goes to a fuse on the Mopar fuse block(not the one for the cabin)then to the panel. Probably need to pull all the fuses and clean them. Bill posted a bunch of schematics in electrical and tech docs sections.
