What the heck is this??
Topic says it all. I have some electrical doodad near, but not associated with, the hydrovac units. It has a (?vacuum?) hose that loops up over the torque converter area, but is not plugged into anything; just hangs open in space. The electrical wires to it feed back to under the dash, but I have not traced where it goes from there due to the rat's nest of wires under my dash. I will be rewiring that mess, but wanted to see if anyone knows what it is supposed to do...since it clearly is not servicing any useful purpose with the hose just sitting there.\n\nThanks.

I see speedometer cable connections on the 2nd pic. My guess is some sort of aftermarket cruise control controller\n\nDave

Re: What the heck is this??
The orange hydrovac filter is inside the vehicle, under the couch. Although it is now silver, as I replaced it with a Wix. \n\nMy unit does not have a Thermosan, although I wish it did. I have a brochure for one in the collection of info I got from the previous owner. And every brochure I have of optional and aftermarket items corresponds to being on my RV, with this exception. \n\nSounds like I might have to wait to solve this mystery when I rewire the dash area.

From the look of it I would have to say Part of an old cruise control set up.

Cruise control is the first thing I thought. Trace those wires and see where they go.

My Guess would be some sort of abandoned cruise as well.
