Seat Resto ‘66 Travco 270

Unread post by Fellchase » Sun Mar 17, 2019 9:48 am

Just finished resto on my seats.
More expen$ive than OE or junkyard seats.
But I wanted the original plus these are really well made and sturdy.
The foam was in great shape after 50 years.
There is a rubber diaphragm under the bottom cushion
These diaphragms were used in European seats Jaguar, Triumph and etc.
We removed stitching and made new covers from old patterns.
Stitched in ribs to match original die pressed pattern.

very, very nice. I replaced the seats in my 1970 mahal with early 90's ford ranger seats. the color matched my original deep red interior and best of all I now have arm rests. got them at the fall Hershey car swap meet about 10 yrs ago. paid maybe $200 ?

They look great. I am looking for new replacements for our 76. The current ones are late 70s Flexsteel and are showing their age.
