Kerrville State Park - Kerrville, Tx

Unread post by 77Travco » Sun Mar 24, 2013 3:19 pm

My wife and I finally made our maiden camping voyage in our Travco 270. We loaded up the kiddos and drove a whopping 2 miles over to the state park here in kerrville. :D\nI have never hooked up to my city water connection before and promptly discoverd that I have a very leaky water heater... I wasn't gonna let it ruin our trip so we chose to ignore it. Looks like another project for the future. Oh well.\nA fire was built, hot dogs were cooked, trails were hiked and a general good time was had by all.\nIt was $26 to camp overnight in a spot with a 30 amp plug and water hook up. I also used the dump station on the way out (my real reason for going) and flushed out my black water tank. There are very nice rest rooms with showers in the park as well as guadalupe river access and nice walking/hiking trails. A very nice park with a friendly staff.

very nice. I can't wait for my maiden voyage. I have the electric water heater that came out of mine. It's electric. If you want it just pay the shipping. I'll test it before I ship.

Not very hot at all... we ended up running the furnace that night!\nThe A/C unit works great... seems to cool the whole coach on a hot day. The generator powers it with no problems. This summer will tell me for sure. :)
