Just bought a Travco and just discovered this Forum!
Hello from Texas!\nI am 43 and never even knew Travco's existed until a few years ago when I saw a 270 on craigslist. I went to see it and fell in love with the "look" but the interior was very rough. We likeded it but me and my wife wanted to "keep looking", we wanted a "nice" one that we could just turn the key and go. I knew I wanted a full size Travco motorhome preferably 1968 or older and I was prepared to pay a good price for a "nice" one. It was at this time of my life that I discovered how rare Travco motorhomes are and that turned into years of internet searches, phone calls, possible flights to other states and chasing dead end leads. But I never found my own Travco.\nFast forward... I was minding my own business recently at a bar in Camp Wood, Texas when a friend mentioned that his friends brother had an old motorhome and was thinking of selling it. I started to shrug it off but since it turned out to be located only 1500 feet away from the bar I said "let's go take a look". It turned out to be a 1977 Travco 270!!!\nLong story short... I picked it up and drove it home 3 days ago on the 23rd. It needs some work but thats ok with me... I ripped all the carpet out of it last night and my wife is painting!... so much for "turn key"... lol
\nI have been all over the internet for the past few years looking for Travco stuff but this seems to be the first real forum. I hope others find this site too!

I had looked for one myself for.a long time .i did not posses the technical ability to start one but thanks to Private Pilot the dream of Travco forum is now reality.Feel free to start a topic and spread the Travco word....there are alot more out there.

\n\nThere is also a Travco yahoo groups and a Facebook page, Dodge Travco Lovers.\nFrom the Facebook group, there are a few Travco owners blogs that help with the most aggravating of Travco questions.77Travco wrote:Hello from Texas!\nI am 43 and never even knew Travco's existed until a few years ago when I saw a 270 on craigslist. \nYes, I am aware of those groups but I am one of the remaining 3 people on the planet who refuse to have a facebook page... lol69210 wrote:\nThere is also a Travco yahoo groups and a Facebook page, Dodge Travco Lovers.\nFrom the Facebook group, there are a few Travco owners blogs that help with the most aggravating of Travco questions.
