Hello all, scored my travco, looking for an rv to live in. I have had acres of stuff that mostly needed fixing, circumstances relieved me of the burden, and it felt so liberating, I've been reducing my stuff ever since. I'm going to be down to just the travco, my datsun, and a mobile shop trailer. I'm a mechanic, so, until I get the living quarters situated, I am doing my best to put the motor and drivetrain out of my mind. I got it from an rv dealership, mechanics tried to start it, and the starter was too weak, they said.\n\n I have never fixed rv's profesionally, but I'm parked at a woodworking shop, and the owners are helping me out with advice, and even services. \n\nThat being said, this RV was far enough gone that it was $450 from a dealership. Screws through the roof, rotted ceiling walls and floor. Squirrel living in it, with a community of mice. \n\nI had to gut it to the metal frame, and fiberglass shell, and fiberglass repair the roof leaks,. It's waterproof again, the plug power is %100, and the rotted parts of the floor have been cut out and patched. I got the air conditioner working, and it has the heat coil too. Propane has low pressure, I think it's the old shut off valves, hose water works, just 1 leaky fitting. DC side of it needs wiring freshened up too, I'm hoping that fires up my cat heater, or I can fix it. \n\nI'm going for an efficient off grid-able rolling home/car hauler.
