Hello all. Just picked up a total restoration project 270. Eraly 70's. The guy I got it from didn't know much about it and had someone else make the Craigslist ad. I'm still learning and thus am short on all the specifics, but it was FREE (save for the cost of towing). This leads into my question to you, the great and wonderful Travco community: the tow truck driver had to remove the last section of the driveshaft to get her down the road, but I have to put it back on. What footpounds (poundfeet?) do I torque the bolts down to?

Welocome to the forum and the madness that is Travco. I will look in my chassis manual for the torque.

76 chassis manual has the torque for the rear u-joint clamps as\n170 inch lbs if they are 1/4" 28 bolts\n300 inch lbs if they are 5/16" 24 bolts\n\nyes it is inch pounds not foot pounds.

I believe my torque wrench is in inch pounds... Thank you much. Does Ebay have those manuals?

Welcome. Looks to be in really great shape, short of the dirt. Post pictures once you've given her a good bath.

She'll need a lot more than a bath, but I'll keep y'all updated. Any recommendations on where to find parts?
