hello to all travco owners,my name is james and my wife is julie.we bought a 1972 270 a few years\nback and parked it out back.we were going to redo the brakes and interior but our jobs got in the \nway.now that we are retired we are going to start on it.only thing is I don't remember it being in such\nbad condition.called napa here in mi.and was told that they could work with us to find parts to\n redo all brakes, lines, hoses and master cylinder.good people they are.we are going to strip the\ninterior down to the fiberglass and start over.we have two skylights that leak, thought about\nremoving them and closing them out.will try to post pics of redo.thanks for listening, james n julie.

Hello James, I also am restoring a 72 in michigan. Where are you? In the maintenance section here the is a post with a handy website for brake info. NAPA can be a good sourse for parts but you will have to find a counter person that is willing to step away from the computer and get the books out. I did not have any luck with them and went exclusivley with Allretta truck parts. Kinda pricey but I bought all new from them.

I expect to have to fully gut anything we find. But at least you can then build it the way you want.

Welcome !!!!\nWhen it comes to dealing with NAPA if dealing with any chassis bigger than M300(220,210)\nMake sure you specify to them that they must look under med/heavy duty.\nForget places like Advance, autozone etc. unless you have a specific part # and get someone with half a brain to cross it your wasting your time.\nStart a thead and post up some pics.
