front turn signal assembly

Unread post by KB2CRK » Wed Feb 04, 2015 2:33 pm

I am looking for a front turn signal assembly for my 76. The left one I have is almost rusted through and needs to be replaced.

I looked through my parts box but I already knew I didn't have that.

TNX... I had some pics collected from way back and Travco of the day had a rear window marked Emergency and I believe it had a wire embedded in the rubber window molding with a small loop handle and a notice on the window indicating that it was the Fire Escape window.... ripping or pulling the wire cut or weakened the rubber seal enabling the window to "pop out" or be easily kicked out...\nDont remember seeing that indication on my Travcos and do NOT see any type of wire for a quick egress....and was wondering WTF if I was in the back and a fire? (I cant cook) broke out.\nAsking questions that I dont have knowledge of or the answer being snowed in I start thinking too much.. Guess for me n my pups, kicking the glass out is the answer.... wasnt sure... sure hope I have boots on when it (hopefully not) happens...\nDon't see anything about an escape or see any wire....\nBBB

Billy, There is a red loop at the bottom of my rear window and it is marked as the emergency exit. You are correct about the wire in the rear window seal that pulls out. Be a shame to pull it as I believe replacements are not available.

My 270 has a metal ring at bottom of the rear window. There is an "Emergency Exit" sign under it.
