Painted my roof!

Unread post by 77Travco » Sat Aug 15, 2015 1:19 pm

I painted my roof yesterday. It took me awhile to get the roof cleaned and prepped. I had never actually stood on the roof before... I was nervous about cracking it but it held me. it's not a professional job but it came out looking pretty good!\n\nHere are a few pics...

Ok everyone... don't cringe...\n\nI used aluminum colored Rustoleum paint. I cut it with a 25% mix of paint thinner and rolled it on with a smooth roller. I used a soft fine brush for around areas like the clearance lights and vents.\n\nIt's a 10 foot paint job but I am very happy with the way it came out. Now what to do with the rest of the coach... :D

Actually the roof on my enclosed trailer is rusting. It was galvanized(thought that stuff wasn't supposed to rust ??) I may get some of that for my enclosed trailer.

Let me know how that works. Nessie's roof flexes when I go on it and I would be afraid that the industrial paint might crack. We did our Kitchen Cabinets in the house with the Black and the stairs with the black and white. It is great on a solid surface.
