Shifter Cable Help Please

Unread postby rfamlyslyds on Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:33 pm

Hi there -

Got a 1973 220 a few weeks ago and the shift cable is bent and was out of the vehicle at time of purchase.

Any info on ordering a similar part would be so appreciated as I seem to hit a roadblock at O'Reillys, Napa, PepBoys etc. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but 1973 Dodge doesn't give much insight as to the shift cable. I have a new cable that came with the vehicle but the ends are completely different etc so the previous owner gave up.

Thank you so much for anyone that can help.

Cheers

I have had a bit of trouble with finding dash parts until I found that there are similar dash parts in the A 100 vans from that era.(pre '70) I had trouble finding the speedo cable with the housing until we looked up (napa) the part as it applied to a '67 a 100 van and voila ! I think the automatic shifters were the same also so you might check that out, ray
