4x4 Travco?

I just recently acquired my Travco 270 and have many other things to take care of first but... the one thing that I would love to do is make it a 4x4.\nI currently have a Dana 60 front axle from a Chevy 1 ton and a few NP 205 transfer cases laying around, including a divorce style case. I don't think the 1 ton axle is going to be heavy duty enough for the coach but not sure. I may have to look for a 4x4 front axle out of something bigger. I know that there were a few factory 4x4 Travco's but I have no idea what front axle they used.\nAnyone ever done anything like this before?

I have never seen a factory 4x4 Travco but I have not seen everything either. It would probably be easier to do it with a 220. In fact that is one of my ideas for the 1972 Travco 220 I have. Make it 4x4 and paint it camo. I think the divorced Transfer case is a good idea. The Dana 60 was even used in Military M1008 which were rated at 1 1/4 ton. The next step from there would be the live axle from maybe an Older F600 or something me thinks.

I think back in the 70's, and i could be wrong, Dodge used a Drum brake ball and socket king pin Dana 70 in the front of the 1 tons.
