Alot of the 270's had 12v/110 volt only fridges. I would not waste the money repairing one of those. I would upgrade to a 110v/propane. You can find them used sometimes if you look around. Even if it's not the same exact size you can close the hole up. I made a storage area above mine. You will need to run a line over for gas and put a vent/access door in the side of the RV.\nI have a thread on it.\nhttp://www.travcoforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=16& ... rt=10#p581

Thanks Aces.\nNessie has an old Dometic RM100 which is 110v/Propane. I was weighing my options. I can get a used Dometic RM2652 for $450 or go new with a DM2652 for around $1200 from camping world. They keep them in stock in the store near me. I am still in discussion with the better half on which way to go. She knows I can fix many things so she is leaning towards the working used one. I will have to close a 3" gap on the top to make either of these work.

Picked up a used Dometic RM2652 from a local camper wrecking yard. It is in and working and if something goes wrong I can at least get parts for it. I like the fact it will switch to propane if the power fails. I did have to run 12 v to the control board as the old one was a manual propane unit.
