I had heard that that particular Travco was going to be in a movie called "Bigfoot" and then I never heard anything else. Makes sense now. Surely they didn't wreck it...

They did- the movie is "Barefoot"

I'm lucky enough to own it now. I talked a bit with the people that provided it to the movie company and according to them there were three Travcos used in the movie. This one, which they referred to as the "star", an empty shell of one that was used for stunts and such, and then there was a cutaway one that was used for some interior shots. I have a couple of items from the movie that were left in it. A tag from one of the articles of clothing the lead actor wore that lists all the scenes it was in and also an entire booklet/storyboard of all the scenes.

It's available on most streaming services (with the exception of Netflix). YouTube, iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play all have it for 3 bucks.
