Moving a Travco long distance... recommendations?

Unread post by mabrandes » Thu Aug 18, 2016 1:10 pm

Does anyone have experience with moving a Travco long distances not under its own power? Tow it? Flatbed trailer? Tow it on all fours (six) or tow truck with lift? What about using a RV towbar but in reverse? (Yea.. I know.. crazy) The camper we just purchased is a mere 4 miles down the road but the other one is 150miles away. It may be a good deal but I'm concerned what it will take to get it home. Opinions? Experience?

Flatbed trailer would be best. If you flat tow it, keep in mind that old tires could become a problem and strand you in the middle of nowhere.

\n\nAgreed. So far I have quotes of $600 & $900 for a 300 mile round trip and this would be on a landoll trailer. I think I'd have to pretty much get the Travco for free to make any sense but still looking.
