dropping the holding tank

Unread post by aktravcoer » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:05 pm

hello all, I was going to drop my holding tank In a few days, just wondering if there are any other things holding it in (besides the strapping). figured there might be a flange around the toilet? just wanting a heads up before I break something expensive!

Relatively straight forward.\nYou have to pull the toilet out then take the screw out that hold the closet flange to the floor. The closet flange will then unscrew from the Holding tank.It goes straight in via a 3" ABS nipple. Then IIRC there is the shower/floor drain to disconnect and then the pipe from the two sinks. You may have to cut that if if there is no union then use a fernco to put it back later. All the piping is Black ABS. They still carry it at any plumbing supply. Even Home Depot has some although not a huge selection of fittings.\nThen the two straps.
