In my '68 270, I can access them by pulling the "wall" behind the pedals, and similar position on passenger side.

my balls went extinct years ago so,ill pass on cutting them out the front.my dash top looks to be held on by a few wood screws\nso I'm inclined to start the dig there.i'm forced to conclude that my alzheimer was arrested when i bought this travco and \nstarted to "restore"her.

HHmmm... is there a definite reason for a mission of that scope??? The block of wood present in the current pic is for spacing the motor due to the length of the shaft gearing and is a pain... My current unit has loose wipers but will let those dogs lie for a while...\nBBB

they come out through the bottom of the dash. Drivers side IIRC was a PIA. I think I had to pull the instrument cluster. I didn't think they were even available. They make electric wiper conversion kits for old Mack trucks and Boats. I would think that could work. That pic you posted BBB sure looks like it though.

the passenger wiper only clears about 4inches and the driver side moves slowly even on high speed.so,since you guys are all in\nfor under dash removal i respectfully will remove the top and give a look.

I double checked. Passenger side is easy under the dash. Driver side pretty straight forward if you pull the instrument cluster.
