1975 with !977-78 Discs on Front End

Unread post by Roattorevolution » Sat Jan 21, 2017 2:44 pm

So, I bought my 1975 (275) Travco about 2 years ago. The person before me had upgraded the front and with discs. When I crossed referenced them to replace the Calipers and Rotors/Pads it crosses as though they came off a Dodge M600 which is a 1977-78 series Dodge Van. We replaced all of the above, and then to find out we still had no pressure, mystified I took it to a brake specialty shop and he told me the following things:\n\n"Proportionate" or "Connector Valve" ( ZD 6 217 #) Shot\nBack Brakes Not Working at all\nPossible that the new Master Cylinder we put on wasn't right one for New Brakes up front (checking on that)\nAlso said old Hydro boosters were disconnected (going to try and re-connect these if it makes sense)\nRight Front Brake Line needs to be replaced\n\nI know this is a a bunch of Retrofit BS... \n\nBut I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get that valve? Source? and if they are familiar with the hydro booster issue? or the Master Cylinder issue? Any advice is greatly appreciated...

If they put the 77, 78 axle up front, look to see if they put the Hydroboost hydraulic booster on it. The hydro vac units would not be used in that case. I thought 75 had disc brakes so I am not sure why a 77 swap. I wish I could help with the proportioning valve but I have no clue where to find that.
