Problems or issues? Please let us know!

Unread post by PrivatePilot » Sun Dec 11, 2016 10:29 am

Overnight last night the forum was moved to a new server. Some may have noticed that between the hours of midnight and approximately 10AM this morning that the forum was actually down - my apologies.\n\nThings are up and running again and for most users the change should be seamless. It is possible a few responses made by members may have been lost in the changeover so please check any responses you may have made to threads during the evening or overnight hours - if it's missing, you may have to post it again, sorry.\n\nIf you notice anything odd or broken, please respond in this thread and let me know so that I can address it. \n\nI would also appreciate a few responses indicating how fast (or slow?) the forum seems to members - I want to ensure that nothing is being bottlenecked or unexpectedly slowed down because of this change.\n\nThanks all!

Thanks for all you do. As far as I can tell, it seems a bit faster on my end.

I can't seem to send any PM's. They stay in the outbox. Thanks

\nI am not sure why this is happening. Do we have a minimum number of posts before a pm can be set?

I just checked again, all the PMs I've sent are still in the outbox. Let me know if you find anything out. Thanks

On the road, go ahead and send me a private message. I have a feeling that your messages have not been read. I have two in my outbox that are almost two years old.

PM's still showing in your outbox means they have not been received by the recipient. Once they are, they will no longer show in your outbox.\n\nSo, either the member in question has not been online to see them, or has been online and didn't notice them. Some members unfortunately do not enable the notification of PM feature (either via popup or email) so they may sit unnoticed.\n\nIf you are urgently trying to get ahold of someone a staff member can retrieve their email address and privately contact them and request they login and check their PM's. We do not give out peoples email addresses publicly, but we can act as a go-between to get their attention. ;)
