1973 Travco 270 with an original interior
Hi,\nI got this last year. Its got 80,000 something on the clock. Around 10K was spent getting the engine, brakes, gas tank and trans sorted. It has sat for a very long time in dry storage. I recently drove it around 400 kilometers and its awesome on the highway. You can see from the pictures that the interior is original. Wall paper fell off one wall beside the kitchen dining area. 6000W Onan only has a few hundred hours on it. Has the rear ladder. Storage unit on roof. Roof top air con blows cold. Fabric is in fantastic shape, as is headliner. Drapes all good. Carpet grade. Wall paper has fallen off one wall bedside the dining area. What needs attention is the fridge, propane and water system. I just started using it and was going to tinker on this stuff over time. My guess is the seals have dried out from sitting. But now I have a vintage motorhome an acquaintance didnt know I liked them, and offered me his mint, original GMC. I could not say no, but I also cant keep both. So the Travco is going. Its currently parked at my RV garage about 40 minutes west of Toronto. I will sell it with a safety check. This is Ontario, Canada. I'm asking $15,000 Canadian on for sale sites, but for an enthusiast from here I would cut a great deal. David \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Really? How does one tell? Is there a code somewhere? It makes me smile ever time I see it. But I live downtown and storage close to me is $$$$. That, and machines need to be used regularly. Having 2 old RVs doesnt make sense. One is going to get ignored and will degrade, which I hate. This is in too good original shape for that to happen.

Its a 270, Possibly an Elite? The Mahals had the door about midway back where the 270s had the door right behind the passenger seat.

MAHAL: usually has a Two + Two script (only one) on the right side under passenger window (have one of those). There would be a window behind the passenger side seat, then the centered door. Floor layout would have a cone style free standing chair and a lift up table plus extra cabinets across the right side above the passenger seat. Bathroom layouts were dependent upon space such as a stand over toilet to shower or a walk in to shower depending on placement of fridge. Can't think of any other obvious appointment as an indication of models.\nHTH/FWIW\nBBB a

Oh yea, it's not a Mahal. I was thinking wrong about the door placement.

Looks to be early 73. Late 73 was when they changed the molds and dropped the headlights down low. I assume that on has front drum brakes ?
