Rebuilding my 75 travco

Unread post by Whitewhaletravco » Wed Jan 17, 2018 8:28 pm

I wanted to record travco and rebuild process. It's a 1975 with a 440. It's in decent shape as most of the interior parts work like appliances etc. I'm currently rebuilding the pasanger side and rear home section and trying to get the Motor running. Gotta keep these classics alive! Here are a few pictures of our so called White Whale and progress. Enjoy! So far it only let's me add screen shots of it. Let's see if I can fix this.

Removed everything on pasanger side. Replacing wall with new wood, checking wires, checking leaks etc.

\n\nI just ordered mine as well. Once I return from my work trip, I'll be installing it and hoping it fires this time

Looking good. Been working on our 76 for a couple years now. Hoping to get a bunch on the interior done this year.

\n\nIt can be a long process for sure. I'm hoping to get a lot done with in the next month. In the end it will probably be a on on going process of upgrades and updating.

Quick update: got the old motor running. And it’s running great! New HEI seems to really do well! Only power steering seems to leak.

While working on the corner where the generator sits, that section of wood collapsed on me. Come to find out it was being held up by a single 1x1 and 1 screw! So now I’m gonna rebuild some of the back half.
