I can only imagine how tail heavy that was! Well done.
\n\nThanks!\nWe really like her so far! The few short trips we did this fall we fell in love with traveling this way! Pretty excited to get a few upgrades and repairs done this winter.

So far we love our as well! I'm hoping to get the front end fixed up this winter. It has a really bad death wobble when hitting certain bumps. Other than that it cruises down the road great.

Damn, I thought I had balls....I'm gonna retro fit a set of tow hooks onto mine from a 5 ton Military truck so if need be I can drag mine home with a tow bar. I have AAA platinum though and it is worth every penny.

My wife and I build a couch/queen bed for the front since their wasn't any bed in the front when we bought her. It slides out and becomes a queen bed!

death wobble !! first year I had mine I found the wobble was from cold bias ply tires. new radial 225 70 19.5's (front only as not enough spacing for the rears) were like night and day. put on heavy duty shocks and if you have the steering stabilizer shock change that also. assuming that the king pins are still well greased and good that will help your wobble problem also. the drag link on my mahal needed replacing at 65k miles also.

Yesterday I started to tear into why the front grille wasn't fitting well(like the opening was too short) I had a hammering feeling in the steering wheel, and it felt like the floor below the driver was loose.... Here is the first pic.

From their we figured out that at some point someone converted the motor to propane(has been long taken off, just the hoses were left underneath for evidence). When they did this they cut out both of the front storage compartments. The ones right behind the wheels.... After we did some measuring we figured the drivers side had settled about 1 3/4 inches... And the passenger side about an 1"... So yesterday we cut out the rest of the storage boxes, due to rust(they did a beautiful job with the torch back when they did the original mod. NOT!!). And we put a few bottle jacks under her to see what would happen. We were pleasently surprised to see how easy the house lifted right into place!!! I am pretty excited that it will be an easy fix!! And more pics, because we love pics!!!
