We just bought her last summer and didn't notice that it had the sinking issue, but, as we tore it apart we realized it went all the way back to the door on the passenger side. Only to the front mount on the door(because they damaged that one to fit the front tank in as well)... So we removed the door and floor step to weld in a little metal to get that fixed as well.

And to finish yesterday out, we thought that the rear end was feeling a little left out so we decided to remove the trailer hitch and build one that is a little more cosmetic... and tougher(more frame mounted instead of bumper mounted). And that was if for disassembly yesterday. I have a long list of things to get, piano hinges, gaskets, a sheet of steel, a lot of stainless steel bolts, etc... Does anyone know if we can order a new door hinge??? A friend of mine is gonna bend new floor steel and the sides for the storage boxes on his brake, hopefully this week. And bend some side brackets for the hitch as well. Then we can get her put back together! I did find axles for a swap and hopefully he will have them out this week so we can start on that as well. I am putting axles, springs, spring mounts, steering gear box, hydroboost, master cylinder, and driveshaft and hanger bearings from a 2012 Isuzu NPR HD.

Looks like you are making good progress. The Isuzu axle swap has me intrigued.

I will take lots of pics. But, so far the Isuzu and the Travco have the same frame width, so it should be pretty easy to transfer everything over. Ofcourse there will be a lot of holes to make for the new mounts. I figure this way I get new spring bushings, etc. etc. The front springs are the tapered leaf design which should ride a ton smoother than the tall factory pack. I haven't checked to see what my Travco has for a gear ratio, but the Isuzu axle has a 4.30to1 so that should help a couple hundred rpm's. My wife and I made a 3 year plan, this year the interior and steering/axles, next year the motor, and the following year paint the body. So I do need to keep it usable for the summers. Any questions just let me know.

If your 270 is on a M500 chassis it will have a 4:56 gear ratio in the Spicer HD70 axle.

Thanks! I believe it is the M500. So it would save a couple hundred rpm's going to the 4.30.

Well, I made it home with the donor axles, frame, and cab!! Now if it will warm up we will start tearing it down!! I am pretty excited with some preliminary measurements on how well it seems this is gonna fit under the Travco!!

Here she is with the rear end tore out!! FYI there are 50 holes that hold on the rear suspension on a 2012 Isuzu NPR HD... Drill each one out 3 times comes out to drilling 150 holes. My arms were sore. But it fit awesome, here are a couple pics of everything removed.

Once I am done I should post something in the classifieds, for the rear end, front end and wheels. I would give them away, rather than send them to scrap. So if anyone wants them, let me know.

Here is the new hitch. A big improvement over what I took off. Sorry for the dark pic.
