Ok. Yeah, I was just curious how late they went. Amazing how poorly documented these seem to be.\n\nAs you own/owned many 220s, do you feel the later 220's are as well built as say, the 1970 was? \n\nI had a 74 Cuda, then later I got a 68 Barracuda. I was surprised how much better of a car the 68 was from a build quality and fit/finish standpoint, it was. I know the oil crisis had changed production habits in a lot of companies.

They are all pretty much the same except for some notable differences.\n74+ Had disk brakes. They stopped MUCH better.\nMy 72 has since vac booster, not hydrovac. like that better but have not driven it.\n74+ has different windshields then 73 back. They look the same but they are not.\nI like the layout better on the 72+ with the door in the middle vs right behind the pass seat like my 1970. Space is better utilized and with option rear bunks can sleep 6 vs 4 although 6 people in a 220 is pushing it alot.\nI am not certain but I think 74+ had the big block as an option. I have never seen a 73 back 220 with anything but a 318.\n74+ could be either way. I have a 74 that had a 318 and owned a 75 with a 440.\nThe braking system is much easier to repair and parts more readily available for 220's and they handle much better.

I have a 71 220 on a 70 chassis with a 413 from new. It will fly and gets fair gas mileage (10-12).
