12,24,48 volt electrical upgrades

Unread post by gojoe » Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:52 am

My recent projects include tearing out the bed, the closet, 24" of counter and adding an aisle with twin platforms and pretty much gutting everything 120 v electrical save for the wire runs. Im looking into adding solar panels up to 800w, 400 ah Lifepo battery bank with an all in one inverter/charger from Victron. Im on the fence about going 12v or 48v which from what Ive read is more popular than it used to be. I like the idea of less loss and possibly being able to power a 48v 10000 btu ac/heat pump going down the road with the addition of a dc to dc charger off the chassis battery. Has anyone looked into or something like this and where did you end with it and why?
