Glad you have it running. Once you get the tires and brakes done you will be well on your way to having it back on the road!

Rosie has 4 freshly painted wheels and new sneakers in the back! Front brakes needed to be bled and now she stops on her own. An added bonus was finding 2 more 19.5 rims once she moved out of the weeds. SCORE!! Bad wiper didn't let her come home today but she seems to be ready. I will get down 1 more time with a big fuel filter and some lights for the rear along with a new wiper blade and with luck once the rains let up and I get a day off she will make her way to her new home where the games will begin! I will get some snaps up then.

Rain X is awesome but here in the commonwealth there better be functioning wipers! Not to worry though. While I was having an awesome phone conversation with Aces I got the dreaded call that Rosie was stuck on the side of the highway. Previous owners wanted to get in one last ride so they grabbed some fuel and started up the highway. After finding the brakes were better than ever (panic stop for an ambulance) it was up the interstate for a few exits when all the power went away and onto the side she went. Turns over but she no fires. I was on a delivery so couldn't go see what was up. The hook came out and Rosie got her first and hopefully only tow to where I work. $450 later she sits ready for some exploration in the morning. Were I to offer a guess I will find lots of water where there should be gasoline. Ironically I ordered a fuel filter water separator just last night. if it were easy everyone would have one! But now I don't have to do the 210 mile round trip to get her ready for her first journey. Silver lining and all that....... I hope

Pumped out about 4 gallons of rusty water and have put in a new fuel filter. Points rubbing block was broken so I think it was conspiring to leave someone stranded! She runs and after I get brake lights she comes home! For as clean and seemingly unmolested as she was... there is more and more evidence that some hamfisted hack has had his way with her. Behind the factory fuse panel under the groovy rubber flap is a bunch of scotchlocks and a few more mysteries to solve. Well I knew she was a project and really so far nothing is un repairable.

Biggest problem with the electrical systems on these is grounds. It's fiberglass so ground points are important and alot of hacks just run new wires thinking that is the cure when in fact it was simply a bad ground. Also mouse chewed wires are another issue.
